The FCM system is designed to be mounted on a day. tank, sub-base tank, or a remote pumping unit. It may also be off-mounted to a wall unit, etc. (only the sensor must be tank mounted.)
The FCM system uses an ultra-sonic sensor to accurately determine the level of the fuel. Backing this sensor up is a fail-safe, redundant high level mechanical sensor.
Through electronic "action levels" the FCM controls the activities of up to four pumps and motors (Fill or Reverse Flow). It also controls and provides a signal for a full array of external alarms and similar devices based upon predetermined levels. The action levels shown in the table below represent a normal* setup. Custom levels may be programmed providing the integrity of a sequence of operation is not violated. There is no extra charge for this level customization.
We designed the FCM to include many features and functions as standard. This helps keep down the cost to our customers while raising the overall effectiveness of the product. Click here to view a complete list and description of these Standard Features or click on the "Standard Features" link above.
Although the FCM has most of the bases covered with standard features, there are some applications where optional components, such as duplex pumps and motors, or reverse flow systems, are necessary. Click here to view a list and desctiption of FCM Optional Components or click on the "FCM Options" button above.
The chart below show various "normal action" levels -- where pump motors, alarms, etc. are switched on and off. These may be changed to meet your specifications. Some manufactures of similar equipment charge extra for anything that is not their normal setting. Their similar control system is not dynamically programmable and must be mechanical altered. .
